Sam was 19 years old when he and Susie opened their first plating shop over 40 years ago. He is self taught in the plating business and has worked hard, along with his family, to grow the business from a one man operation to a company that employs over 20 people today. Sam is looking forward to slowing down and passing the family business down to Matt and Jake. He is proud of the fact that all of his hard work building a business with a strong reputation can be carried on in the family.
Susie handles most of the financial end of the company including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and banking. She is thankful for the family atmosphere which is reflected in the many grandchildren that have “worked” with her in her office over the years! She is very proudÂ of what her family has achieved and is focused on continuing the legacy for generations to come.
Matt has been with S & H for twenty years…coming in and working throughout high school. He spends his time making sure things are running smoothly on the plating lines, ordering and handling chemicals, and properly disposing and treating waste materials associated with a plating business. Matt and his dad are usually the ones you will meet at the many shows they set up at.
Jake is supervisor over the polishing department and is hands on in doing delicate repair work and polishing. He loves the challenge of taking a part that some may consider unfixable, and bringing it back to life. We have a great group of polishers who take pride in the awesome work they turn out.
Roundman has worked for S & H for 27 years in several different areas of the shop. He spends his day on the phone with customers or greeting them at the front counter. He writes up and prices the orders as they come in and says he couldn’t work for better people.
Angie has been with S & H for almost 15 years and is their Customer Service Specialist. She has the outstanding ability to know and keep track of the customer’s orders. She knows most of the customers by their first name and you will find her front and center each day, continuing to support the growth of S & H and giving each customer 110% of her time.
